We definitely have photographed our fair share of 21st Birthday parties, in a nutshell its basically events photoraphy, but every year the ideas get bigger and more colourful. Michelle contacted us to do her 21st, but with all the planning we hadn't discussed the smaller details, like what theme it was, you know the "girly" stuff.
When we arrived we soon realised that the photos were going to be awesome, she had an Arabian theme, which means colour! And yes we love colourful photographs.
As with most events the biggest challenge was lighting, as a normal person you generally see the mood on the night, however for photos its going to be way too dark...this is where we use flashes in such ways that it doesn't look "un-natural", we try to create images that look as good as they did on the night...sometimes we end up using 3 to 4 flashes just to get the mood right.
From pillows on the floor, to a DJ, an enormous tent, a bar in the garden, fires all around to warm everyone up, good food, amazing desserts, this was truly a fun 21st to photograph.
